I have a new computer. The old one crashed and I had to to take everything, EVERYTHING, off of it and transfer it to the new. I hate this sort of thing. I'm terribly inept at learning computer stuff. I like to have things working when I sit down. If something is going wrong I like to think that I know how to fix it. If I don't.... well things can get ugy.
I didn't have access to my file of pictures, and I hadn't set up the camera-to-computer thing for the pictures sitting in my camera. It was new, and challenging. I wasn't ready for the change. So I am a computer chicken #$%^*. Then the light went on, and now I can continue my blogging with lovely pictures.
Here is my Wool Peddler's shawl from Cheryl Oberle's Folk Shawls. The yarn is from Otterness Alpacas. I finished this weeks ago, and thought that I might sell it. But then I spent a week with the dread ghombu, and this shawl became my friend. The warm, soft alpaca was just the ticket for flu-based aches and chills. I even slept with it on.
I'm feeling bettah now.
I will have to put lace knitting on the back burner for spring and summer. My hands are ravished by gardening and digging. My couch knitting, (when I can manage after a day in the garden) is the lovely Lizard Ridge Aghan from knitty. Pictures to come, indeed.
